Genesis 48

Shaun returns to the series through the story of Joseph with a look at Jacob’s blessing on Ephraim and Manasseh. At first, Joseph feels that Israel – his father – is making a mistake, or perhaps is even intentionally wrong. However, there is more at work: Joseph is frustrated at this turn of events because he can’t see the full plan and how it will all work together. Sometimes we feel that God – our Father – makes mistakes or does something that doesn’t make sense from what we see, but we need to recall that God really is for us, not against us.
