Our Service for the World

As we worship Jesus and live our lives with one another, we desire to make an impact on the places we live, work, and play.

At Lake Trails however, you won’t notice a lot of big church-wide initiatives (though they happen from time to time). Instead we want to support one another in the varied parts of Madison and beyond that are important to each of us.

To make that happen we:

  • Encourage all of our members to purposefully love their neighbor. That could look like tutoring in a school, volunteering in a homeless shelter, regularly hosting someone who lives nearby for meals, frequenting a park in a low-income neighborhood in order to build relationships there, or countless other ways.
  • Pray for one another’s places of service in our Community Groups.
  • Highlight a member’s place of service in our worship service once a month.
  • Communicate needs in our places of service so that others can participate through donations or deciding to join in with us.

Some ways Lake Trails members are currently serving are:

  • Foster Care
  • Racial Reconciliation
  • Literacy/GED training
  • Medical and Dental Mission Work
  • Veterinary Mission Work
  • Homeless Ministry
  • Environmental Recovery

As a Congregation we also support several ministries around the world:
