If Not Me, Then Who? — 1 Corinthians 2:1-13

Shaun picks up from last week’s theme (regarding not turning to ourselves to be the basis for knowledge, wisdom, and spirituality) with an answer to the follow-up question: to what or whom *should* we turn for our pursuit of issues central to our being? Shaun walks through Paul’s flow of thought on the matter–he did not play to the Corinthians’ expectations of wisdom, even if many aspects of conventional wisdom are still very useful. To gain access to a better basis of these issues, though, you need access to God, and access to the mind of God is only possible through His Spirit. Shaun then describes a few ways that we can better live by the Spirit–familiarity with His voice and being steered through the Spirit’s deeds.
